Taryn Chong is a passionate artist and storyteller studying at LCAD and under Nadia Vurbenova. Their experience includes working in indie animation as a Visual Development and Background artist, as well as illustrating zines. Additionally, Taryn is a California Art Scholar, CSSSA Animation Alumnus, and a 2x LPAPA (Laguna Plein Air Painters Association) Next Generation 1st place winner. They also have a background in art education.

Unpretentious, sincere art is always my goal! I use mixed media and different storytelling mediums while creating. You can often find me looking for picture books, listening to loud rock music, and keeping up my Japanese.
